Collectors have been asking for more regular updates, and my webmaster has been nudging me to post more blogs (fair enough!), so here’s a quick look at what’s been happening behind the scenes. BHFlasher was started in 2004 and we have a lot of inventory that has been sent “out our doors” since then to our customers. We have working experience with disassembly and reassembly of light bars and revolving lights after they were in many cases polished, re-chromed, or repaired. Some lights are left as-is to preserve them as they’ve gracefully aged and worked as intended by the manufacturer. And in many cases, we’ve had customers tell us that we’re giving “new life” to our lights and we have given them another chance for these lights to be preserved in history!
Old Tucson Movie Studio
Our newest lighting and siren inventory includes many lights that were used in filming movies and television in and around our Grand Canyon State of Arizona. The photo above was taken at our Old Tucson Movie Studio setting with a crashed prop car sitting in the “Wild Wild West” LOL! – Notice how only the hood is wrinkled and yet the front end of this Grande Crown Victoria Police Car is completely intact? Only in the Magic of Movies, this car was fitted with several different “crashed hoods” available, depending on the scene angle and the Director’s whims! =-)

This CODE3 XL Light Bar shown below has new red domes, one has an amber insert and is the same shown in the black and white photo afront the Old Tucson Filming Studio. This Light Bar was used for filming in and around the Tucson, Arizona area and can be seen in many 1980s police car chases and scenes filmed in our beautiful Grand Canyon State!!
Many ask us why we sort of abandoned eBay. Well, truth be told eBay Targeted, Suspended, Threatened to Terminate Service Contracts, and forced all the vintage red-blue and green light folks off of eBay. We recently received a few real nice light bars from our Tucson connection. This impressive AeroDynic 52 inch light bar was a backup bar for the “Dukes of Hazzard” and it never was used! It comes clean and not all scratched-up and complete with a full-length 12-foot cable! It is DEFINATELY 5 STARS and will be listed soon!!
This is another studio production AeroDynic 42 inch light bar that came to us in super-nice shape with very little scratches, newly added to the BH Flasher collection!
Here we have a “Custom Made for filming production” TwinSonic Model 12X light bar where the speaker screen was replaced with two Federal Signal Model CP100 chrome siren speakers. This was used in the movie “Hankee Panky” starring Gene Wilder and Sidney Poitier…
